Naaladiyaar – 29

Think that life’s brief like a dewdrop on a grass tip,
and do good deeds now itself; – as it’s often said
“a moment ago he stood here, laid down a bit,
and now he’s gone, leaving his kin to wail”

This is poem no. 29 in Naaladiyar about impermanence of life. Life may be snuffed out anytime. It is ephemeral like a dew drop on a grass tip. So do good deeds this moment itself. Do not delay it thinking you have enough time.
